For years the girls and I drove the same route to visit Grammy and Grumpy in Murfreesboro . . . passed the sign "Appalachian Center for Craft" just across the Hurricane Bridge that spans Center Hill Lake . . . said "We should stop there one day!"
And finally, we stopped . . . Erika and I did . . . on our way to drop her off at MTSU once time.
Part of the Tennessee Tech Campus, located in Cookeville, it houses artists seeking a Bachelor's Degree in several disciplines. They offer workshops for people at all skill levels, programs for teenagers and teachers, host special events and exhibitions, and they have an on-site fine art gallery where artists can sell their work.
The Captain and I stopped on our way to check on your Great Grumpy and then his parents. One of the exhibitions was art by a guy named Matthew Wilt, and these are some of the photos I took:
Nearly all of his pieces were mechanical . . . we even got to see them in action. I was quite mesmerized by a few of them!
